We have an opening for PRODUCTION ENGINEER – ABU DHABI Duration: Long Term Location: Abu Dhabi -Direct or Contract Hire Salary: Negotiable Closing Date: ASAP  Minimum Requirements [Knowledge Skills & Experience]: • Bachelor Degree in Petroleum Engineering discipline or equivalent. • 5 - 6 years of experience in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering out of which 2 years to be in offshore oil related area. • Good knowledge of English language.  Job Purpose: Coordinates with Field Development Divisions for development/updating of medium and long term reservoir surveillance plans, in order to align resources planning & adequacy. Collates & compiles short term (yearly, quarterly) reservoir surveillance plans for issuing, based on FDD input/ requirements. Plans cover (oil) wells flow testing, bottom-hole pressure surveys, Wireline and other relevant intervention operations.  Roles & Responsibilities: • Monitors implementation progress & performance and recommends corrective measures to resolve technical issues. Conducts short-term studies to improve surveillance data gathering efficiency and process improvements, leading to production/injection sustainability/ enhancement. Understands the concept and works towards achievement of KPI’s, with reference to business Unit objectives. • Leads to study FDD short, medium & long term (1, 5 & 10 yearly) reservoir surveillance requirements and makes recommendations for resources progressive alignment/ procurement (thru contracts). • Analyzes/ evaluates technical & operational constraints that may affect wells’ surveillance/ monitoring programs for preparing practical & realistic monitoring Bar Charts, Targets, KPIs. Analyzes/ evaluates Wireline & Well Testing operations according to the Reservoir Surveillance (Monitoring) program and proposes trouble-shooting solutions. • Issues non-routine programs for well (flow) testing using Test Vessels, Test Separators, Multi-Phase Meters (MPFM), WT Barge, Wet Gas Meters (WGM), Ultrasonic (strap-on) Meters (UTM), Wireline Pressure Surveys and other technologically advanced equipment. • Issues monthly Well Surveillance Bar Chart, in accordance with reservoir monitoring policy, that provides peer Production Engineers with work program. Conducts FDD/TSD monthly Surveillance Bar Chart meeting and follows-up progress & achievement. • Analyzes problematic wells & prepares procedures/ programs for USFD/ZKFD Wireline investigation and appropriate recommendations to external divisions. Participates in reactivation of inactive wells using available in-house (Wireline, WT) resources. • Issues programs and follows-up implementation for further operations on wells after rig/ stimulation barge move-off (unloading/ flow testing, investigation for zonal or strings communication). • Maintains data and prepares periodical (monthly, quarterly, yearly) progress/ achievement reports on all surveillance activities, weather statistics, etc., identifying justifications/ reasons for above/below set targets/KPIs. • Conducts training of UAE National CAMS employees assigned to TSD/ PRE, in own area of expertise.
